How to Unzip an archived file on Mac OSX

Once the file has completely downloaded you can simply double-click the .zip file or do the following:
Right-click (or control-click) and select the option to Open With > Archive Utility.app
Drag the songs and images to the location you keep your music files or...
Select all the music files, and right-click (or control-click) to Open With > iTunes (or your preferred media player)

How to Unzip an archived file on Windows

Once the file has completely downloaded you can simply double-click the .zip file or do the following:
Right-click and select the option to Open with > Extract All Folders.
Then select the desktop as the place the extraction appears, This way your download will be easy to access:
Once the extraction is complete, drag the songs and images to the location you keep your music files
Select all the music files, and right-click to Open with > iTunes (or your preferred media player)
You will also notice your newly extracted folder with your media

How to locate downloaded media

The location of your download depends on your Operating System/Browser combination. If you're having trouble locating your download, one option is to right-click on the download link in your email receipt and select the "Save As" option (wording not exact) which will let you choose where you would like to save the download. Alternatively, you can search for files and folders on your system. The default location for a few popular browsers on Mac and Windows as follows:

Right-click on the file in the downloads dialog and select the option "Show in Finder"

How to retrieve and download your purchased media

It's possible to download the media you purchased from your purchase receipt. Try the following to initiate a new download:

How to extract your download when a password is required

The Windows Extraction Wizard causes this issue. When you extract a file with a long file name you will be prompted for a password, instead of receiving an error message stating that the file name is too long. Please try the following to work around the issue:

When the Extraction Wizard prompts you to select a folder to extract the files, try extracting the files to the root of a drive, such as C:\. After you extract all of the files, you can move them to the location where you store your music.

How to operate a FLAC download

Why is my download taking so long?

Files that are larger than 1GB cannot be reliably downloaded by Internet Explorer 6 or 7 and Windows versions earlier than Windows XP, and will frequently have glitches and other troubles after download (if download completes) due to a Windows codec problem. We recommend you use Firefox, Chrome or Safari to download your digital files. For video files, we also recommend that you get VLC Player for playback, as it will provide you with a better viewing experience. VLC is a free download and can be safely installed on any computer.
